Hand painted illustration and pattern design

I am an Australian artist and designer based in Perth. By combining my love of painting with graphic design and illustration I create unique and complex work with a handcrafted quality. Working primarily in traditional medium (gouache, acrylic) I utilize my digital skillset to transform these motifs into fabulous, high-resolution designs for application across a range of products spanning everything from paper, homewares, lifestyle, decor and fashion. I can also translate my illustration style across to vector-based graphics when it is needed, such as for limited colour and screen-printing. My style is underpinned by stylized, hand-painted motifs. Whilst I keep my eye on colour forecasts I do tend to favor retro colour palettes, choosing to mix muted tones with bold brights. My happy, playful designs are based around themes of nature, whimsical stories and childhood nostalgia. My work has been licensed by the likes of Pipsticks, Nerida Hansen, Honest Paper and Mrs Edgar.
